Author, The Penningtons Investigate

C . T.  Collier grew up in Seneca Falls in the Finger Lakes of upstate New York. Although she left the area for college and jobs, she always wanted to return. Today she’s lucky to live in a beautiful small city on one of the prettiest of the Finger Lakes. It’s not Tompkins Falls on lovely Chestnut Lake (they’re fictional), but the two cities and the two lakes have much in common.

She grew up to be a tech-savvy college professor with an endless fascination for campus intrigue. In addition to professional positions at colleges in New England and New York State, she has taught at and consulted for colleges and universities all over the country. All those institutions have their share of intrigue, but none is quite like Tompkins College.

While she still teaches on request, most days you’ll find her writing in her tiny office looking out on a woods populated with fox, deer, wild turkeys, and songbirds. On her breaks she walks along the lake shore or meets friends for coffee. She’s active on Facebook and Twitter, talking with authors, readers, family, and friends around the world.

She is an avid reader of all kind of mysteries. Favorite authors range from Louise Penny to Sally Goldenbaum, Katherine Hall Page to Robert B. Parker, and many more. She’s a member of Sisters in Crime and several local writers groups.
